Haha.. this was from food tasting that time.. =)
Eh.. trial makeup was just yesterday (Sun). Realised that bridal makeup really is quite standard.. always piling on loads of fake lashes and eye makeup. So the hairdo is the one that makes all the difference! (Side note: I’m glad that the makeup is quite natural)
Finally, as promised, have bought the frames for our mothers! (have been sitting on this for some time =P)

Woo.. the countdown is getting exciting becoz it’s down to the final 29 days! *stressed* I’m still struggling to settle the tasks on my list one by one, as much as I can do each day. Check out the latest below..

Hohoho.. check out all our buys from IKEA yesterday (much of the remaining stuff we need for our new house). There you’ll find the cardboard boxes, ironing board, bedside table, quilt, sheets, GDL lamps (improvised), bin & others.. the cost of building up a new home is &^&$%&#$%..!!!

While I’m working (hard), & in fact rushing to complete a very important paper (to me), I can’t help but allow wedding matters to creep into my mind & overpower my thoughts. Gosh.. this is bad.
The task list seems to be endless, and I’m feeling the real urgency to settle alot of the stuff as we close in to the wedding. Just to name a few, the following are tasks at the back of my head:
- Settle the videos!!! This is stressful ‘coz time is running out, & I really want to do a good job
- Plan the 姐妹s’ party – this cannot be considered essential but I really want it & believe it will bring fond memories in the future
- Pack my room, and move most of the stuff that I want over – this is urgent as GDL is next week! Oh Dear.
- Settle all the gifts – soooo many! I need to take leave on one day for this.
- Finish up the wedding schedule document & start on the script – this is also urgent! Planning cannot be left till the last min!
- Buy my wedding shoes! Must make a trip to Taka soon.
- Go for a pre-wedding facial. Err.. have just decided that I will want to go for the first facial in my life, where else but at SKII.
OK, after venting.. it’s back to my paper. =)

Was busy as can be during the weekend, but it was great!
Checked out “Lock and Key” on Fri on Kai Yuen’s invitation, & had a good time catching up wif some of my fellow TB alumni members! The place looks really new & neat now but somewhat clinical. I think I still prefer the warm, cosy feel of “Captains’ Quay”.. =)
And Sat was my Hen Party organised by my COT colleagues (minus the only rooster).. heh! We had a very pleasant afternoon sipping tea & munching on delicacies at the Scott’s Lounge @ Grand Hyatt (my first time there), & it was great! The only catch was that I had to wear this silver toy tiara & hold a purple toy wand wherever I went - looking like a 7 yr old B’day gal @ her Princessy-theme B’day party as a result! ;P We adjourned to my new place thereafter where the games (involving lots of cucumbers) were played, & it was a very wasteful game indeed! Tsk tsk. Lily & Cally then enjoyed a movie on my new couch while it was pouring outside.. great atmosphere for a movie.. =) Just wanna thank my COT friends for organising this.. I appreciate it lots ya =D

Our wedding cakes (2-tiered) from Choz. I like the prune cake but it will be better with even more prunes =P
New curtains bought today! Nice mah? =D Nel and Bel’s gift for our ROM (the adorable smilies in traditional wedding garb which I like alot) adorn the new bed.
And.. I finally made good my promise (err.. to myself) to put the Puddings’ photos in Pudding Cafe! So apt hor.. wahaha. Damn hard to get a good pic of the darlings la.. they cannot stop moving one..

It was a v v v tiring weekend contributing to a v blue Mon.. sigh, and *yawn*. And it doesn’t help that I had trouble zzzping last night (due to waking up too late at 1+ pm on Sun afternoon). =(
We were shopping ecstatically on Fri evening at Uniqlo @ Ion, where we bought most of our stuff for our honeymoon, woo hoo! Must give my smart Yuan credits for this one – he was the one who researched on this shop and found that it had opened in sg =D Adjourning to Taka later, I also managed to find a pair of Timberland boots at quite a good price from the Taka Brands Sale.. 开心！;)
Sat was REALLY crazy. We went to deliver cakes & invites from approx. 12 noon all the way till ard 10pm. It was crazy!!! But it was nice to see Mama’s sisters & bro.. impt ppl whom I’ve largely not met. And the greatest surprise was.. our JP for our ROM last yr, Mr Chan Kai Yau is actually Mummy’s cousin-in-law (i.e. my Uncle)!?! What a small world (& an even smaller sg!) =D Hmm maybe you don’t really need Facebook to connect you to ppl. You’ll just see them somehow. Haha.
Finally, we settled both Daddies’ suits for the wedding yester.. glad they both managed to find something suitable from the shop.. relieved.. =) What a busy weekend hor.

There’re more and more tasks to be completed, with shorter deadlines as we close in on the big day! -_-” Although we’ve been doing bit pieces all along, but it’s not enuff leh – progress still seems too slow! =/
Food tasting was last Sun, and I must say I was pretty happy wif the Libai food (just need to talk to them on some minor adjustments). I harboured the thought of showing you the pics (I painstakenly took photos of every dish) but I guess it’s better for you to be surprised! Hee.
And my parents requested for the wedding cakes early (instead of giving at the GDL day) so we just ordered loads of cake from Choz, and will be giving out this weekend.. quite early eh, but it’s good to settle this part la >_< this RSVP part is really the most siong..
And I guess we have to clear up our rooms pretty soon for the wedding! Have to start moving the bulk of my stuff over (starting with the clothes and books) & slowly all the rubbish.. argh.. dunno where to ‘hide’ them in the new house man..
Oh yes.. and Yuan bought my 四点钻 le.. woo hoo! It’s from Lee Hwa. =D

Haha there’s so much to update until I dunno where to start! =) First of all, wanna wish Hubby a very happy 30th B’day! Oops.. no more in your 20s le.. sob =P
And this is a very very siong time for me ‘coz Hubby’s chinese b’day was just 2 days ago (on Fri) -_-” So you can imagine that I was busy cooking again.. alamak.. have been busy in the kitchen quite alot recently.
After Ling-er’s housewarming on Sat, Yuan & I went to Golden Happiness @ Katong Shopping Centre to finally check out the GDL items =) Bought a whole package of cute traditional items like the spittoon, washing basin, sewing kit, baby bath tub, etc. etc. (all part of my dowry) and managed to find the tea set I like too (saw it on Her World Brides last time) from the shop! Hee!
It’s amazing how fast things move these days/ decisions are made ‘coz we also settled Mummy’s clothes for the banquet & bought our sheets for the bed on Sat - do you know that we’ve been finding our sheets for MONTHS w/o being able to make a decision but yesterday, it was just like “Hmm it’s nice. Let’s buy it”. Wahaha.. the ticking clock sure speeds decisions up.. =D
And oh yes, Mum’s dress is from Daniel Yan.. I sure hope she continues to like it =) I also took alot of pics to record the above devts! =) See below..

The past few days had been REALLY eventful, ‘tho not always in a good way. As I was happily taking photos of the decals on the feature wall in my room on Thurs, Ding got hurt at the balcony.. :/ (After several days of analysing her wounds, I think it would be quite accurate to say that she tore the skin near her eye sockets while trying to squeeze out of a very small gap in the balcony door, when it suddenly closed on her) We were terrified ‘coz one of her eyes got very big (I was so afraid that it was dropping out) but thankfully, it went back in and that was when we saw the bleeding all ard the eye area.. =( We thought her eyes were bleeding & were very worried, and so were quite thankful when the vet said that she only got cut.. thank God! She’s recovering now and looking better as the days go by.. =)
The weekend was spent cleaning (mostly by Yuan), doing wedding stuff (mostly by Pang = me) & attending Yuan’s family Mid-Autumn festival gathering. And yes, we used our Zojirushi toaster again, this time to make breakfast - Ah Kun style! Yuan didn’t like it very much ‘tho.. =/
And I dunno why I’m ill again with a sniffly nose and a very bad cough, argghhh!!! This flu thing is really irritating me..

Haha.. check out the toast - the right one looks more ‘normal’ after adjusting the timing.. heh (decided to try this after observing the canteen lady toast the bread =P)
